Didier Ilboudo has always been passionate about data and the power of data to guide decision-makers. He is an engineer Data Scientist graduated from OpenClassrooms in France. He also holds a Master’s degree in Statistics and Econometrics from Toulouse 1 Capitole University in France and another Master’s degree in Public Economics and Applied Statistics from the Institute for Empirical Research in Political Economy (IREEP) in Benin. He specializes in automating data analysis, Machine Learning and Big Data. He has worked for over 10 years as a Computer Scientist and Statistician, including more than four years with World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa (WHO AFRO).
His background includes extracting valuable information from a large set of data and reporting the result to drive organizational goals. From data mining to data analysis and reporting, he excels at spearheading a full range of tasks related to data management while ensuring strict confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
At WHO AFRO, Didier gained experience working with member states. He focused more specifically on the automation of data analysis with the Data, Analytics and Knowledge management (DAK) unit. He also contributed efficiently to the development of the Digital Health Platform (DHP) a digital solution for WHO AFRO.
Prior to joining WHO, he spent four years directing data management tasks at SUNU Insurance Burkina. He developed efficient data management tools, controlled daily backup of the main data server, created secure data entry tools and introduced a systematic daily reporting through machine learning modeling to improve decision making.
His experience is not only limited to data management however. He is versatile and experienced in big data, real time data analysis through cloud computing, social network analysis and natural language processing.
Didier joined Cooper/Smith in August 2023 as a Database and Data Management Specialist. He mainly supports the implementation of the Minimal Digital Ecosystem (MDE) project focusing on data analysis and visualization for decision making. Didier speaks English and French, likes computer programming and enjoys traveling.
