I am passionate about the role that cross-cultural dialogue can play in advancing human rights and how institutions shape culture and policy worldwide. My Southern Vietnamese heritage inspired a career in global affairs and the desire to improve conditions for marginalized communities both domestically and internationally.
Prior to joining Cooper/Smith, I was the Operations Coordinator at Friends of the Earth where I supported staff through assistance with internal and external operational inquiries. I was also responsible for all on/off-boarding processes, asset procurement, IT troubleshooting, and travel logistics. This position allowed me to strengthen my skills as an administrator while broadening my understanding of the nonprofit sector.
Before joining Friends of the Earth, I served in a variety of capacities with Amnesty International, the World Affairs Council of Oregon, and the March of Dimes. Through these roles and organizations, I was able to explore my interests in civic engagement, community capacity-building, grassroots advocacy, and social impact.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies with a focus on Global and Comparative Governance from the School of International Service at American University. I speak Vietnamese, English, and Spanish.
